Amateur Classes Clarification
An Amateur Rider is a rider who for showing purposes HAS NOT engaged in the
training programme for Rider/horses/ponies/livery/buying/selling or dealing of
horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since 1st August 2011.

show-grounds and stable office will open from 5 pm to 9 pm on Thursday 24th
April and then throughout the weekend.

The only classes you need to qualify for are the Festival Working Hunter
Championships (classes 102 to 116)

Health and Safety
All competitors must wear their competitor number at all times when moving
or exercising a horse / pony anywhere on the show-grounds.

Riding Hats to be approved to current BSI standard – A three point
harnessed hat must be worn during the daytime classes – For the Evening
Performance, Bowlers and Top Hats may be worn by riders who compete off the
Leading Rein and are aged over 14 years.
