PLEASE ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME TO GET INTO THE SHOW-GROUNDS AS ROADS AROUND CAVAN ARE LIKELY TO BE VERY BUSY ALL WEEKEND – EVERY YEAR PEOPLE MISS CLASSES BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T ALLOW ENOUGH TIME
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A PARADE THROUGH CAVAN TOWN CENTRE ON SATURDAY 23RD APRIL
1). SHOW GROUNDS – opens on Thursday 21st April at 4.30pm – Please get your stable numbers upon arrival from the stable managers office – The restaurant and bar will be open on Thursday night. The restaurant will also be open for breakfast and meals throughout the weekend.
2). SHOW OFFICE – Opening hours: Friday 22 April – 9am to 6 pm, Saturday 23 April – 6.30 am to 5 pm, Sunday 24 April – 6.30 am to 5 pm
3). CATALOGUE ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED – late entries can be made online or at the show providing the class is not full. We will make people aware of classes that are nearly full on our Facebook page. Change of entries can be made providing the horse / rider combination is the same for a nominal charge of £5 – Catalogues are for sale at the show office priced at £6 (8 euro). We will accept HOYS entries on the day.
4). COMPETITOR NUMBERS – should be collected from the Show Office when you arrive. Numbers are issued by the name of the horse / pony – so please ensure you remember what was put on the entry form. Competitor Numbers must be worn at all times whenever riding or leading a horse or pony. It is an insurance requirement. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
5). STALLIONS – People showing a stallion must wear a red ribbon on their arm.
6). PRIZE MONEY must be collected at the show. We will not post prize money out after the show finishes. Vouchers will be given out in the class to those who qualify for prize money. This can be exchanged for cash at the show office.
7). CAMPING is available on site free of charge. Showers are also available. Please observe the quiet time between 11pm and 7am.
8). DOGS must be kept on a lead at all times. No cycles within the show-grounds.

9). RULES – Please make sure you are familiar with the rules of the classes you intend to enter. Full details are on the NIF website.
10). TIMETABLE – It is your responsibility to be at your class on time. We cannot hold classes in the event of a clash or if you are late. Please listen to the public address system for details.
11). STABLES – All 500 stables at Cavan Equestrian Centre have sold out – they are keeping a waiting list for any that become available – please contact them directly to be added to it – A list of local stables in the area can be found here
